Handicap Outcomes Explained

Asian handicap betting produces four possible financial outcomes — full win, half win, half loss, and full loss. This guide shows exactly what happens to your stake under every result for every handicap line from 0 to 1.75.

The four outcomes

For any Asian handicap bet, only four financial results are possible:

  1. Full Win — both stake halves win. You receive the full potential profit.
  2. Half Win — one stake half wins, the other is refunded (push). You receive half the potential profit.
  3. Half Loss — one stake half loses, the other is refunded (push). You lose half your stake.
  4. Full Loss — both stake halves lose. You lose the entire stake.

On whole-number lines (0, 1.0, 2.0), there is also the possibility of a full Push — the entire stake is refunded, no profit, no loss.

How stakes are split

For every quarter-ball handicap (0.25, 0.75, 1.25, 1.75 etc.), your stake is automatically divided equally between the adjacent whole and half lines:

  • 0.25 → half on 0.0, half on 0.5
  • 0.75 → half on 0.5, half on 1.0
  • 1.25 → half on 1.0, half on 1.5
  • 1.75 → half on 1.5, half on 2.0

For half-ball lines (0.5, 1.5, 2.5), the full stake is placed on one line — no split. For whole-number lines (1.0, 2.0), the full stake is on one line, and a push is possible.
